We have made our first short version of the Musashi and have decided it is not up to our standards. When we launched the project we thought we might need to offer different frame sizes if there was a demand. It is looking like we have enough demand.
To make a smaller version we need to redesign the Musashi for shorter riders. This will basically mean a whole new frame, but will not be difficult after all the work we have done.
It means this will go back on the drawing board, through Paulo’s stability calculations making adjustments to the prototype until we are happy with it. We have developed a great tool that everyone saw who attended our Factory Tour; the adjustable prototype that can change wheel-base, head tube angle and has a fork with adjustable rake that will help the process of making a new frame. Lynn will need to make new fixtures and tooling that is similar to our standard frame, making it much easier this time.
It’s great to see people riding the Musashi and are liking it a lot. We want to make sure all of our products are made as good as they can be. So at this time we can only accommodate riders with a 41” x-seam and longer.
Thank you for all your support and feedback you have given us.
