It was night, and at the end of my 30-mile route there is a left turn which has an island tip to negotiate....well, the curbing is there, dark as the street,
and nothing within to break up the darkness. It's just a hole. Not realizing it was there, I hopped that curb into, then out of it doing about 17mph. The
front wheels were not affected, but the rear wheel was nearly tacoed. I didn't notice any damage on the remaining two miles because the Durano Plus HELD.
There wasn't even any damage to the tire. It just followed the wild warp of my trashed Velocity rim. (Sniff, sniff!) About 800 miles, and it's begging
for more...on my loaner wheel.
