Don't see how it can hurt, could help...If they made cool (as in temperature) Motorcycle style helmets I wouldn't ride in traffic without one...as such I just stay out of traffic! |

I hope the headgear manufacturers are taking note of the number of riders who wear broad-brimmed hats instead of helmets. Right now I wear my Tilley Hat, but
occasionally wish it were more impact-resistant. I'll bet there would be money to be made marketing a broad canvas brim that could be snapped on to a
conventional cycling helmet. The little weenie plastic visors don't offer much protection from the Florida sun. Maybe you could line one of these babies
with foam:
