I'm planning a trip to Cuba for Decemeber of 2008. I'm taking my trike and riding as far as I can on the lsland for 3-4 weeks. Many guide books
and such are available. Few are cycle-specific. Crazyguyonabike has some helpful journals.
Is there anyone reading this who has been to Cuba with a bike/trike? Any advice about touring Cuba would be helpful.

Amercians are not allowed to travel to Cuba under the current travel restrictions. I sure would like go.

Americans can go to Cuba, but there were some draconian obstacles, notably about currency import and a local sponsor, which
attracted my attention when last I looked a year or so back. It can be done, and is probably most easily done via a tour organizer of some sort as an intermediary to expedite the paperwork, even if you never see the tour operator. |
