The title may be somewhat misleading :P I intend to ask a serious question as I am about to drop some dough on a new 700.
I'll give my stats first then ask my question.
34 years old
6'4"ish
195lbs
prior Army so very little fat on me, hurrah for physical fitness
current DF average speed is 17-19 on the deck and 21-26 in the drops
fairly strong motor
With the supplied attributes, what would be the typical or expected transition as far as speed is concerned by switching to a catrike 700?
I'm expecting long hard and fast rides.
50miles+, cadence of 90+, 26+mph
Am I expecting or hoping for too much? I understand bent muscles are different than DF's so I'm not expecting all of this instantly.
I do not expect to be riding with any gear except what I need to go out and come back, ie: water, extra tubes, air, tool, etc.
I live in Houston so long, straight, and flat roads abound.
