I thought I would try and easy 10 mile
I searched this site for what else I would need
and so the added sheepskin I did heed!
So on my trike I took right off
until I ran into snow that was too soft
I got off my trike as carefully as could
but my foot hit my light and off it flew
I tried to place it back on the bike
but lo it had broken right at the site!
Nevermind I thought, this 700 is great
but it can't do snow and so I had it to drag.
I got back on and road down that BIG BIG HILL
it went so fast and was quite a thrill.
Another five miles I did continue to trike
when suddenly I noticed that something was not right.
I look down at the seat and much to my surprise
my sheepskin was gone and on came the light.
When I carried the trike on through the snow
the sheepskin was left behind don't you know.
SO, I got on my bike and peddled up that big bad hill
and after retracing my route I thought I was out another bill!
First the light and now the skin, this riding gig cost more than gas
when suddenly I saw a lady walking real fast.
She found my skin along the trail,
she picked it up and hoped I would prevail.
I put it back on with alittle red face
and then I peddled back down that BIG HILL at a fast pace.
When finally I arrive back at home.
I checked my protege 8.0.
To my surprise when I stopped triking
the speedometer should have shown how my route was so exciting
but to my surprise it no longer showed my trip distance or average speed,
so I really want to throw that thing into the weeds!!!
To wrap this up I have a few questions
and I hope there are some here who have some directions.
1. Are the lights THIS FRAGILE that they just snap off? Once snapped off where the connection is broken...is there another way to fasten it, like with a rubber band or can I buy a new connector or do I need to buy a whole new light?
2. I think I will FASTEN the sheepskin in some way....this is not a question...but a statement!
3. Does anyone have a protege 8.0? Is there a way, after you stop, to see your average speed and your current trip distance? When I stop it goes to 0...and honestly when I am biking it is hard for me to see the thing because it is fairly close to my bigger body at 6.4 and 235lbs.
4. Finally, I thought I read somewhere that someone fashioned an additonal "arm" that brought the computer higher?? I think they used plastic pipes and painted them to match the bike...anyone know where this post is?
I am not giving up on riding...I like the trike! And I hope to be able to ride without breaking anything, losing anything, and losing my trip information. I just thought some of you could use a good laugh about my great adventure!
